Rani breathed heavily, a droplet of sweat sliding down her cheek. As a Peacekeeper she was used to training but that didn’t mean she enjoyed it. The only pleasure she received from pounding her fists into the awaiting bag was imagining the faces of the fellow Peacekeepers she worked with and the unpunished crimes they committed. Rani knew she had compassion but she would never let anyone else see it. It was easier to fool people into thinking you hated the world than to let them think you cared about it. Compassion was weakness and weakness meant was what prevented her from seeking her revenge. Although helping fellow members from the resistance escape helped nothing could satiate her desire for revenge like watching the Capitol burn.
Enacting a final blow she leant against the bag allowing herself a moment to breath. Her eyes scanned the room until they fell upon a figure; tall and lean her attention was immediately caught. Rani wasn’t much interested in finding a lover but someone of this stature would be useful in enacting her vengeful plan. She pulled her hair from her bun allowing the blonde curls to cascade across her shoulders. Before she had entered the districts Rani was always the sweet girl but now that was only used to deceive. Any genuine sweetness was long gone. Despite this she could still fathom a sweet smile and gentle flutter of the eyelids: getting what she wanted was what she did best.
Approaching the figure she presented her best smile her eyes following the line of his body then flicking up to meet his own. “Rani Elda, I don’t believe we’ve met,” despite his good looks she could sense anger in him, something she could relate to; there was some sort of story here she could tell.
